Mac Lifestyle: Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 releases own Podcast

Featuring music chosen by Mark as well as general talk. Going to be released fortnightly by the usual channels (itunes and a RSS feed as well as directly from the site). Also on the site is a blog. It's great to see someone like Mark Hoppus getting behind podcasting.


Note: I listened in the car last night and was really impressed. I hope that this inspires other artists to jump on the podcast bandwagon.

Yahoo! users will be able to stream the first episode for a week beginning Tuesday, WB and the Internet company said. "Supernatural," about two brothers who encounter evil forces as they search for their missing father, begins airing on the network Sept. 13.

Apple has finally come out with a two-button mouse. Amazingly, someone has already posted a review of the new Apple Mighty Mouse including lots of pictures.

Note: I used the "Mighty Mouse" today and I liked it. I especially liked the scroll knob. The mouse I'm using now I like, but if it dies, I would consider getting the new Mighty one.

MacProVideo.com today announced Mastering Final Cut Pro 5, a video tutorial program that can be downloaded directly to the desktop. The program uses real-time screen captures and voice-over instructions that let viewers see and hear how video is edited. Check it out.

I have added a a new section along the right hand side of the page. It's a news ticker from Digg News. Digg.com is a user based news page. All the news on its home page is user-determined by "digging" or voting for an item. It's a fun and informative site that is rapidly gaining popularity on the net. Go give it a look.

Mac Tip: Speed up Safari

Here's a way you can speed up Safari by changing the rendering delay.
After changing the rendering delay to something really low, Safari feels far more responsive on my system.
Tip: try "defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitInitialTimedLayoutDelay -float 0.0001" to speed up Safari even more.
